Lauren Klocker
FilmmakerVision, concept, artwork.
Due to her proximity to the Austrian art scene, Lauren Klocker has the experience and ability to develop creative, artistic and flexible production concepts. As a camerawoman, she stages protagonists in commercials, short films and music videos and ensures that the right content is conveyed at the right time.
She gained her first experiences in the film business in her youth with feature film productions in Vienna and Berlin. She also discovered her love for the symbiosis between picture and sound and the small details – “good sound makes up half the film and is just as important as a beautiful picture”.
In addition to her active work in the media industry, she accompanies new students on their way into the creative industry year after year as head of the “Cross Media Production” course at SAE Vienna.Together with a team of specialists from the fields of creative marketing and content creation, she trains the next generation of media professionals.
Among the most exciting productions in Lauren’s professional career are alternative film formats beyond the classic feature film: a documentary film production around the Austrian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale 2019, portraits of artists, as well as a performance documentary in Kyoto, 2018.
Lauren describes the Kyoto project as a special experience in which the performance of the artist, Roberta Lima, was recorded with a multi-camera system and displayed on a dozen screens. Precise timing and exciting editing are the focus of their work.
